Welcome to Golden Hours of the Sandhills

Open Impressionistic Oil painting of a vibrant sunset over Merritt Reservoir, with a cloudy sky, a boat in the water, and trees on a hill in the foreground.

Why the Golden Hours?

Nebraska’s Sandhills Region offers a quiet hush of prairie grasses and the song of Western Meadow Larks. Clean air and light tell its own story. My open impressionistic style oil paintings capture the fleeting moments of the golden hours—those precious minutes at dawn and dusk when the sky glows and captivates your soul. It’s meditative and embraced with warmth and wonder.

From the rolling dunes to the glistening waters of hidden meadows, this collection is a tribute to the soul of the Sandhills. Whether it’s the soft shimmer on a windmill at sunrise or the amber hush over a hay field at sunset, each piece invites you to feel the calm, the light, and the legacy of this cherished land.

Thank you for visiting—may these golden hours bring a little more peace and beauty to your day.

Brand Vision

As an open impressionist artist, I paint the fleeting golden moments when the sun brushes the earth with warmth and wonder—those quiet spaces at sunrise and sunset when the world feels both infinite and still.

My vision is to preserve emotion through light, movement, and memory—inviting others to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the beauty that often goes unnoticed.

Through expressive brushwork and softened realism, I aim to create art that doesn’t just capture a scene, but a feeling—a golden echo of time that lives on the canvas and in the heart of the viewer.

Art takes us on a journey and to be a collector is to be a traveler.
